Diane & Heather's Civil Partnership

Last weekend was the civil partnership of Heather & Diane, which was held at Forever Green Restaurant in Mansfield. When I first met up with them they told me they wanted their big day to be a celebration not only focused on them, but a party for all their friends and family too. They wanted me to capture the relaxed and fun atmosphere in a natural way. I started later than usual, arriving at the venue as it filled up with guests. The bouquet decorations which adorned the venue, and later the wedding breakfast tables, were lovingly hand made by Diane's mum from felt and buttons, each flower unique. After the ceremony, ice-creams were served with fruit punch and we stole away for some photographs of Diane & Heather. Having been to see the venue a few days before I'd found a rather beautiful patch of wasteland with waist high lupins and daisies... perfect! Later, Heather's chorus line choir, Gem Connection, performed a rather amazing set of music and dancing, adapting some well known songs to their own uplifting style, which raised the roof. Their wedding images are a riot of colour and smiles, I hope they love them. Wedding Photographers Notts
