Gemma & Matt's Engagement Photoshoot

On Sunday I met up with Gemma and Matt at Newstead Abbey for some relaxed photographs around the lake, which all my brides and grooms have in Nottinghamshire as part of their wedding package. The weather was really kind to us, and afterwards we got down to some serious wedding planning over a glass of wine! Their wedding is under two weeks at Ringwood Hall. Felicity & Lawrence's Shottle Hall Wedding Day

Felicity and Lawrence were married at Shottle Hall on a very sunny day at the end of April, perhaps the only sunny day we saw this April! Their wedding had so many details that were personal to the couple and it's true that Felicity had thought of everything to make it as meaningful as possible. We started in the top floor suite at Birchover Apartments in Derbyshire with the girls getting ready and Felicity had her bridal makeup done by Susan at Pretty Flamingo. Birchover provided a beautiful backdrop, and most poignantly had the first dance lyrics written above the bed. We then moved on to Shottle Hall where the girls put their dresses on and made final preparations. After the ceremony, we stole away for some wedding photography with Felicity and Lawrence around the grounds. The marquee was decorated in a rustic romantic theme of hessian and coral, with almost everything being handmade by family and friends including a family brewed ale as wedding favours. Games were played before the wedding breakfast was served and then dancing started. I absolutely love their collection of photographs, with some of my favourite images of all time.
