The Wedding of Kirsty & Daniel

Friday 22nd May saw the marriage of Kirsty and Daniel at Ringwood Hall in Chesterfield. The day started in the bridal bedroom with Kirsty and her bridesmaids who were pretty in pink, and her three very sweet flowergirls. It was a busy hive of activity in the bedroom, so we captured the dress and Kirsty's cherished engagement and eternity rings in the hotel hallway. The stairway at Ringwood and its striking ceiling made the perfect location for capturing the couple and Kirsty looks sensational with her wedding gown flowing down the stairs. The weather held despite the dark clouds above and allowed us to take photographs outside in Ringwood’s gardens. In fact, the thundery clouds added real atmosphere to the photographs by the pavilion. Kirsty and Daniel were naturals in front of the camera and their chemistry made for some beautiful and touching images. I hope Kirsty loves the photo of her two favourite people; the adorable Tristan with his cherubic curls posing with his dad. Congratulations to all three of you. Kirsty and Daniel’s remaining photographs will be online on their return from honeymoon. Wedding Photographers Nottingham Derby and across the UK.

The Wedding of Sara & Graeme

Congratulations to Sara and Graeme, who were married on a very wet and windy Saturday 16th May at The Carriage Hall in Nottinghamshire. We braved the weather briefly to capture some outdoor shots and as the storm clouds grew heavier and the heavens opened we returned to the indoors to warm up. Sara looked stunning in her Chandrika Thomas designer silk gown and she looks every inch the gorgeous bride in her full length photograph looking out over the balcony. Susan at Pretty Flamingo did Sara’s elegant makeup, creating a naturally radiant finish.

The groom and his ushers were tartan clad and Graeme’s knitted socks were his nan’s handiwork, made especially for the big day! The importance of family and personal touches showed throughout the day, as Sara’s something old and blue was her treasured sapphire engagement ring; a family heirloom on Graeme’s side.

Despite the weather spirits were high and it was the registrar that said “when it rains on the wedding day, some say it’s the gods smiling on the marriage”. Wishing Sara and Graeme a happy honeymoon in their beloved Scotland and the remaining wedding photography will be live in the coming weeks. In the meantime, here are some of my favourite images.

The Wedding of Ali and Al at Melbourne Parish Church

Congratulations to Alison and Alan, who were married on Saturday 9th May at Melbourne Parish Church, Derbyshire. Ali looked beautiful in her Sassi Holford dress, which epitomised old-fashioned romance and glamour. It was a pleasure to take their photographs as they are clearly very much in love and it really shows in their photographs. As Derbyshire wedding photographers, I first photographed Melbourne Church at Catherine and Mark’s wedding last year who then recommended me to Alison and Alan, who happened to be marrying in the same parish. (Many thanks to Lord and Lady Ralph Kerr, who own Melbourne Hall, for allowing us to photograph on their front lawn). The stunning setting is special to Ali and Al, who regularly visit the lake and gardens for walks together. How lovely that I could therefore capture them walking down the winding lane as newlyweds, with the blue sky and rolling clouds above them – such a wonderful metaphor for their new life together.

During the speeches, the best man asked them to stand back-to-back and, without looking at each other, answer questions by holding up their shoes. I love the photograph that caught the moment when they declared who out of the two spent the most on clothes!

Wishing Ali and Al a great honeymoon in Rome and their images will be online when they return. In the meantime, here are some highlights from their perfect day.
