Congratulations to Sarah and Gary who were married on Saturday 25th April in Edwinstowe Church, Nottinghamshire. The April showers held off long enough to capture the boys on the traditional ‘wedding steps’ at the front of the church and then during the service the clouds cleared and the sun shone for the rest of the day – a great omen and start to married life! It was a special request of Sarah’s to capture her best friend’s daughter, who was her fairy flower girl, and it wasn’t too difficult to do as she proved a natural in front of the camera with an infectious smile! I loved the morning of the wedding with the girls getting ready and their personalised dressing gowns were fab. We were most impressed when the flowers arrived; zingy orange roses, white orchids and fern leaves created a tropical bouquet and one of the nicest I’ve seen. However, Sarah’s portrait shot is one of my favourite photographs of the day – her mum’s conservatory made for the perfect light and provided beautiful catch-lights in Sarah’s hazel-amber eyes.
