Event Photography - Wilkins Christmas Party and 50th Anniversary

The Christmas season is upon us, which means Christmas parties! Ken Wilkins Print Ltd is a family run business in Nottingham (and part of the larger Wilkins Group) and they had a double celebration on Saturday 30th November - proudly marking their 50th Anniversary as well as getting together for their annual Christmas do. It was held at the East Midlands Conference Centre, with drinks reception and dinner. They asked Mirror Imaging Photography to come along and photograph the evening to mark the occasion. We captured natural moments amongst the 200 guests, groups of friends and colleagues and couples, the close-up magician entertaining guests, the speech and casino tables afterwards - all in very low, atmospheric light. Of course, we also took some wonderful family photographs for the Wilkins Family. Here are some of my favourite highlights from the evening, showing just how much fun everyone had!

Swancar Farm Wedding Open Day

A few weeks ago I was invited to attend the Wedding Open Day at Swancar Farm in Nottingham. Just a few select suppliers were there to display their talents including Cakey Wakey, Dream Wedding Dress, Paul Martyn and Zinc Floral Design. I loved this venue when I photographed Kim & Simon's wedding - the light airy main hall, clean attention to detail and welcoming atmosphere made it one of my preferred venues straight away - so I was delighted to be involved. While guests enjoyed canapés and a glass of fizzy they looked around the various rooms, farmhouse kitchen and the main hall decorated for Christmas.
