Favourite Wedding Photograph of the Day

The beautiful Kirsty and Daniel, taken at their wedding at Ringwood Hall. Spontaneous, timeless and romantic, they perfectly demonstrate how 'getting lost in the moment' and forgetting the camera makes for some wonderful wedding photography.

Wedding Thanks

I've received a beautiful message of thanks from Alison and Alan, who were married at Melbourne Parish Church, Derbyshire in May this year. Thank you so very much to you both for your kind words and I'm delighted you love the photographs, it was an absolute pleasure to photograph your wedding. You can also click to read other Derbyhire wedding photography testimonials.

"Alan and I just want to say how completely over the moon we are with our wedding pictures. They radiate energy and happiness and are a wonderful expression of our special day. We have both been extremely impressed by your professionalism, organisation and efficient way of working. The timetable you put together for us kept the day moving and made sure we didn't miss anything, or anyone, out!

The quality of your work is second to none. You have a real talent and flair and the photographs are equisite. You helped us feel at ease in front of the camera and we're so glad we chose you. Friends, family and colleagues that have seen the images on the website have also remarked how stunning they are and they left my parents speechless. We've recommended you to everyone we know and I truly hope they book you so they too can have wonderful images of their wedding, as we do of ours.

Thanks again, Alan and Ali"

Marie & Liam’s Wedding

Many congratulations to Marie & Liam who were married on Saturday 6th June at St Paul’s Church in Daybrook, Nottingham. They held their reception at the nearby Tower Suite at Lakeside Restaurant. Lakeside’s gardens are a lovely setting for Nottinghamshire wedding photography, however for a while it looked like the wedding photographs were going to have to be taken indoors, as it was cold and raining heavily all morning. Fortunately we were blessed that the rain stopped altogether during the service and the weather stayed dry for the photographs of Marie and Liam in Lakeside’s lush greenery and gardens.

St Paul’s Church provided a beautiful setting for their ceremony, having high ceilings and a stunning alter and stained glass ceiling. My appreciation goes to the verger, Norman and the Reverend for being extra helpful and accommodating. After the service, Marie and Liam had organised a traditional red double-decker bus for their guests to travel in style, which was also dressed with ribbons for the wedding.

As always, the full collection will be online in the coming weeks but in the meantime a few highlights from their day are below.

Sally & Brendan's Wedding

Congratulations to Sally and Brendan, who were married on Sunday 24th May at Makeney Hall in Derbyshire. This venue has a beautiful lush garden with bamboo, ponds, wild garlic and other colourful plants and flowers that provided a stunning backdrop for their wedding photography. It’s always wonderful when a couple take into consideration how photogenic a venue is when choosing where to get married. Sally takes an interest in photography and her wedding images were an important factor to their day. When I arrived, she had even moved rooms in the morning to get ready in a bigger, lighter bedroom, which obviously made my job a lot easier – I couldn’t have asked for a better bride!

Sally posed under the pergola with the flora and fauna and looked like a true goddess! After days of rain we enjoyed an incredibly sunny, hot day, which was a real blessing.

Susan at Pretty Flamingo did Sally and her mum’s makeup and they both looked radiant. Sally’s eyes are one of her most striking features, and I’m sure you can see exactly what I mean in the black and white portrait. She chose a bouquet of cream roses studded with diamante, scented with eucalyptus leaves and included thistles to celebrate her Scottish heritage. The remaining images will be online in the coming weeks but in the meantime please enjoy some of my favourites. If you like the photos your comments are appreciated, thank you.

Sassi Holford Wedding Dress for Sale

One of my wedding photography clients is selling her gorgeous Sassi Holford wedding gown. The dress is a size 12 (but would also fit a size 10) and the design is ‘Nadia’. Sassi Holford is a British designer based in Somerset, specialising in high-end wedding dresses with a vintage glamorous feel.

The Nadia design is a stunning ivory white dress in pure silk, with a simple strapless bodice and ruching at the back with flower detail, over a full lace skirt. The fitted bodice creates a stunning silhouette fit for a princess.

The gown is once worn and has been fully professionally dry cleaned. RRP £3,000. Offers considered over £1,000. Please email me or phone 07968 159465 for more information.
