Queensberry Albums – All Change for Our Wedding Packages

Mirror Imaging is redesigning its wedding photography packages as of January 2009, with our Classic, Elegance and Luxury packages now all including a wedding album by Queensberry of New Zealand. As we write this, our brand new album samples are in production featuring real client weddings and they should be available in about a month’s time for our clients to peruse. Queensberry is highly regarded amongst wedding photographers around the world as one of the finest wedding album producers, if not the very finest. They describe every one of their wedding albums as a “masterpiece of love” with “craftsmanship in every detail”. Queensberry prides themselves on their tailored service, so a Mirror Imaging album really will be unique to our clients, showcasing beautiful photography and demonstrating our preference for clean, uncluttered, coordinated page designs.

Queensberry offer a choice of wedding album cover materials such as bengaline, vinyl, silk, suede, leather and photo fronts, and a rich selection of colours that are both contemporary and classical, for example genuine white leather for timeless appeal, or buckram in sparkly gold for something a little bit different! The beauty of these albums is that, inside and out, you can choose materials to match your wedding theme and colouring, or go for ivory or crisp white to complement any wedding. The inside pages feature your choice of aperture mounted photographs, or printed as a digital book flush to the edge, or a combination of the two in our luxury ‘duo’ albums. In addition, parents’ albums will also be available with the Elegance and Luxury packages, which are miniature 7” digital copies as close as Queensberry can replicate of your main album – very cute!

Our package prices have increased accordingly – but we have passed the value on to you in the increased quality of the albums, so all our wedding products are now in line with the standard of our framed prints and canvases. We have also upgraded the album printing and material choices to more expensive options and the top two packages feature more images. Prices start with our Classic package at £1,200 for up to 45 images in a 9x9 album, our Elegance package at £1,600 for up to 75 images in a 12x12 album, and our Luxury package at £2,000 offers you up to 100 images in a 15x12 album.

Our website will soon feature the changes with photography of our beautiful new wedding albums. If you have already booked a package with Mirror Imaging in 2009 or 2010, you are of course very welcome to upgrade your package. We’re sure the difference is more than worth it. The Wedding Guide

The Wedding Guide is out now and available at several local wedding fairs in Lincolnshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. Please look out for Jayne and her small team of helpers who hand these guides out for free to brides to be, as it provides a good source of local information if you are planning your wedding in this area. I wrote recently about Mirror Imaging being featured as wedding photographers Nottingham in the real wedding section of the guide, where you can read about Catherine & Mark’s big day in October 2008. Catherine & Mark were married in Melbourne Parish Church, which is a stunning ‘cathedral in miniature’ close to the Donington Parkfarmhouse Hotel, where their reception was held. However, the church is also very local to The Priest House Hotel and Donington Manor Hotel, where Mirror Imaging will be photographing a wedding later this year.

Our beautiful frames and prints for weddings and portraits

Anyone who subscribes to this blog or checks in to read about Mirror Imaging’s latest developments will know how proud we are as portrait and wedding photographers of our new collection of frames and canvases, with prices ranging from £2o for a mounted 7x5” print to £350 for a huge 40x60” canvas.

The frames themselves have been hand selected from a massive collection, based on personal favourites, versatility in various homes and environments and popularity with our framers’ customers. We have also chosen some stunning ‘showcase’ pieces that are the jewels in our crown! Both our silver aluminum frame, where the glass sits away from the image to create a 3D ‘block’, or our gorgeous ornate scroll frame in natural or jet black (see image) make big statements with their uniqueness, whilst also demonstrating our framers meticulous attention to detail and looking incredibly classy wherever you might hang them.

Choosing to frame your image creates your own ‘feel good art’; entirely bespoke artwork that also has meaning and good memories. Our montages are a fabulously different way to give your images context and put a smile on your face every time you walk past. Go for three, six, nine or even twenty small aperture images all perfectly mounted in one beautiful frame to tell a story of your day. Alternatively why not consider framing something different from your day or go for a large scale canvas for contemporary home art … your shoes, bouquet or confetti shower. Our framers are used to bespoke installations, so if you really feel you want something different that we don’t have, just ask.

Professional Bridal Makeup - £25 off for Mirror Imaging Clients

If you have booked or will be booking Mirror Imaging as your wedding photographers, we have agreed a special discount for our clients when also booking Pretty Flamingo wedding makeup. A £25 discount on the bride’s makeup is available and, as Susan often accompanies me to weddings, she will be available throughout the day if your makeup requires any further touch-ups and refreshing.

Recently qualified with ElitePro with a diploma in makeup artistry and well on her way to enrolling as a MAC Pro member, Susan uses exclusive brands including Lavera, MAC, Dr Hauschka, CozLab and Elemental Beauty (professional 100% mineral powders) to ensure incredibly light and lasting coverage. Her skin preparation products are organic, natural and hypoallergenic, in fact suitable for even the most sensitive of skins (I know, as I am very prone to allergic reactions and these are just wonderful).

I was recently treated to a makeover in the style of a natural wedding makeup, to demonstrate the difference a professional makeover will make to your final photographs. It’s not very often I get to be in front of the camera and I really enjoyed the experience (photo below, taken in a professionally lit studio but no airbrushing). The effect was natural, light, flawless, with my best features more defined and I still looked like me – only better! Wedding Website Update

As we aim to improve and evolve as wedding photographers Nottingham we think it’s really important to reflect the changes on our website. We have therefore given the website a bit of an update recently, with changes made to our wedding testimonials pages and by bringing our wedding gallery bang up to date. These two sections of the website are crucial to new clients and give confidence and credibility. It’s easy for us to tell others how good Mirror Imaging is in terms of the quality of our images and the service we provide, but to have our clients say it is even more compelling.

Also, the full extent of our service, which sets us miles apart from many other wedding photographers, is not always obvious at first. The personal approach to every wedding we undertake, the meticulous planning and advice given, the ‘extra mile’ we go to, and the individual and painstaking editing of each and every one of your beautiful wedding photographs all contribute to making the Mirror Imaging experience second to none. We do everything in our power to help ensure your wedding flows like a dream; far from just turning up and snapping away.

Many of our wedding bookings have been the result of recommendations from other wedding and portrait customers, which goes to show how important it is and how valuable it is to talk to other brides.
